Litttle Local Snail.

By Tooma
We were clearing bushes away from below a window during the summer, and I spotted a shell in the soil we had just exposed. It was barely .5" diameter, and I realised it was a little snail, so I sat it on the window sill, and carried on with the work. Two minutes later it had a footing and was off up the window, so I went for my camera. Well, snails are very rare in our area - lots of slugs though - and a macro shot was likely.
Slugs amaze me; right little shape-shifters, well before Deep Space Nine and the Changelings. We get a lot of them coming out at night, and they can get into our house by squeezing through a door not even a drop of water gets through.
The V is another shot of it.

I particularly like the lead image with the shadows and reflections, Tom.
Fine macro photography.
