Live and Let Die!

By Andrew_Hurley
I know very liitle about Whooper Cranes (if that is indeed what it is), but I do know they build their nests as high as humanly possible (oe should that be birdly possible?!), presumable to protect their eggs and young from other birds. I thought this was quite incredible, how the crane doesn't just frazzle do death is beyond me. Maybe electricity pylons are a lot safer than we think.

This is in Turkey by the way, near Lake Bafa, so a long drive if you are UK based!

All comments, jokes, captions, awards (dream on) very welcome indeed.

Andrew.
Map location is only approximate.

Ohm sweet Ohm, Current address or Resistance is futile? (Well you did ask for jokes). Great capture of an unlikely nest site.

Thanks Lynne, "ohm sweet ohm", brilliant, and "Current Address", "Resistance is Futile?", well done, you've obviously thought about this one! Please keep them coming!

Just wait 'til he gets his electricity bill - bill? bird/bill, do you get it?!!! Yours were much better!
