Liverpool

By numberonesupergirl
A street I spent a lot of time in when I was growing up, Quiggins, Liverpool's alternative shopping centre was located on this street, skateboarders, goths, punks etc used to hang out here, this was my home away from home and had a huge influence on how I grew up. Despite a lot of protest from it's residents and visitors, Quiggins was closed down to make way for a trendy new shop that now makes up part of the new Liverpool One shopping area. The unique boutiques have since been relocated but we still mourn for the higgledy piggledy charm that Quiggins had and the safe haven it provided to all the "freaks" of Liverpool.

I loved Quiggins and frequented it quite often in my younger days Smile Shame its not there any more, is that little record shop still there that used to be under quiggins?
Unfortunatley not, the whole building has been turned into a Jigsaw (booo) and most of the shops have been relocated to Grand Central, used to be Barcelona Bar. I'm not sure what happened to the record shop as I moved away a few years ago
