Livin' on the Edge

By MrsS
Good evening.
Today's image from our USA trip is from 'Sunset' point at Bryce Canyon, but the rising sun created the most beautiful light on the Hoodoos and tree, resulting in amazing colours.
Once the sun had risen, most of the wispy clouds vanished, so I decided to frame the shot with this magnificent tree.
It was astounding to see the places that trees managed to grow in this seemingly 'barren' landscape - definitely shows that where there's a will, there's a way.
**Please note - I have actually toned down the saturation on this image.
Thanks for looking, please feel free to comment.

Toned down saturation works well and still looks pleasantly warm + naturally colored at the same time.

Very good composition & beautiful landscape - a pleasure to lookGrinGrin

I know what you mean about toning down the saturation. I was there on an overcast day and it was strong then.

Many thanks for the memory.

The tree was a good choice. This is one of the best canyon pictures I've seen for a long time.
