Living Statue

By TrevBatWCC
Wandering around the centre of Truro, I came across this living statue outside the library, so had to grab a couple of shots! I couldn't decide which to lead with, so uploaded in the order taken. I rather prefer the interaction with the little girl in V1, but it's just a pity about the headless man in the background, behind the 'statues' head!

Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 5 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

V1 definitely for the story.

Re the headless man - he's not too obtrusive because of his grey clothing, but I reckon he could be satisfactorily cloned out with a bit of care. Use vertical lines from the East shop front just to the left, and stone textures from immediately above the 'statue''s head.

I always find these characters quite fascinating and am attracted to getting shots of them but seldom manage to get such uncluttered images as you have achieved, Trev.
The interaction with the wee lass in V 1 makes it my favourite.

These living statues are popular here during the Fringe Trev.
They certainly come alive when they are collecting the money !!
Good shots.

To me, No 1 shot is far and away the best. A classic street scene handled very well. Everything's good about it. Didn't even notice the headless man at first and certainly doesn't spoil the picture for me. Well done.

And well done to mrswoolybill. Very expertly done. I was going to try my hand at making the man disappear but I couldn't better that.

Scary guy to bump into if you've had one to many. Mind you, could sober you up darn quick. Must admit this guy looks incredible and an excellent capture Trev.

A great pair of images Trev, I find some of these statues quite scary but they are great to photo.

You shouldn't have mentioned the headless Man Trev - I didn't notice him. My attention was directed to the proud Dad watching his daughter.
Both shots are so very good.
