Um ... yes? Grin (Put it this way, if you're asking that question yourself, then I'd say you already know the answer!)

What was the scene like before the processing? It looks a combination of frosty and a little mist, which you've then tried to increase for atmosphere? There are some lovely delicate tones in both the foreground and the distant hills which, processed carefully, could be really very effective and subtle.

Thanks Tanya for taking the time to comment.

I have been playing with this one for a day or two and still not really satisfied with the outcome. I shall start again with your words in mind. It was frosty and misty and within the limits of the small camera just trying to tease the delicate tones out is showing my lack of experience in processing!

I love in the comp the way the birds seem lined up
Its always good to play around....but i invariably find the original was the best with my images

Used to live in the Rhondda and ride my bike to LLangorse. Young and daft those days. Good memories here.

Phil - you could always put the original into the critique gallery, with a description of what you're trying to achieve, and see what others can make of it. Quite often, enabling mods on the original image for that purpose can yield a lot of input, and out of that may come a way of processing that (a) you like and (b) increases your understanding of processing techniques and stuff like that Smile
