Local lad makes good

By mrswoolybill
Local lad actor Tim Healy dropped in to the town's pre-Christmas party at the weekend.
He floundered a bit singing carols for the Vicar, tried to turn the lights on but they wouldn't cooperate for five minutes, and filled in with a very good stand-up act. Like a real pro, you'd think he had been doing this all his life.
Forty years ago I worked with his Mum Sadie, and I remember how proud she was when he started getting his first professional roles.
I'm feeling very old...
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Did you know Tim Healy's brother, Austin? ...They reckon as a kid he was a funny little Sprite.

No need to feel old Moira. Don't forget, one is as old as he/she feels. Wonderful expressions.

Cheers folks. Nigel I borrowed Bill's 20mm prime, it helped a lot. I could live without high-viz vests though...
These pictures are part of the reason for my near-absence from the site over the weekend, I needed to get them processed for the Town Council and sponsors. I'm heading off to deliver discs of pictures this morning.
I have a couple more uploads to come from the evening.

An actor I do like Moira.
A funny guy.
Like the action in V2 with the guy blowing his nose.
And I like the ''youngest'' blonde in V1 !!

Just flash gun with Fresnel lens panel and diffuser. I am a simple soul... I really dislike using flash but it's something that I have worked on over the last few years because it is obviously necessary for such events.

I like the use of the word 'lad' Moira! He's definitely taking his lead from the vicar in v1.

I love the expressions in v1. They remind me of the old Peter Sellers song about the Caillie band Was that a bum note you sang there? Who are you saying I sang a bum note, take that you varmint!

A fine set of images of this well known actor, he seems like a jovial character who thoroughly enjoyed helping to get the event going
