Loch Chirn Bhin

By podgod
Loch Chirn Bhin taken from the Kylesku Bridge.

Dont ask how you pronounce it. Taken in the Western Highlands on a recent trip, this part of the UK is rapidly becoming my favourite area.

I can't pronounce either I'm afraid but it is indeed as fine a part of the world as anywhere and this is a fine representation. I could look at it for hours.

I ventured into the mountains last weekend - while since I have done some Munros - first time since I took up photography. You've captured this well - addition of boat gives great sense of scale. I would maybe rotate clockwise though so far shore horizontal. Image looks a little soft too - at 500 pixels they often need some unsharp. One last thought is to increase saturation a little. Will have to look at your portfolio to see if there is any other Highlands stuff, Click, Martin

I would love the highlands if it didn't rain every time I went! :0)

I think this works better if you crop just a little off the top, about half way down to the peaks should do it. I agree that the saturation needs increasing slightly (or contrast/levels) to bring out the best which is currently being masked by the haziness.

Thanks for the comments, I always have trouble spotting the horizontals, the saturation and sharpness on the high res version is better than the one uploaded for some reason it always looses it a bit when put onto this site.
