I like it too. The 'fluffy' feel of the trees is an added bonus.

Great reflections Ian, nice mix of trees and their colours, a strong 50/50 horizon too. Feels a little bleached though ... have posted a mod to ilustrate what I mean to you.

Cheers,

Nice mod Paul, though perhaps a little too far the other way. Maybe somewhere between the 2?

One thing's for sure, Paul's mod has highlighted the fact that this image is over sharpened. Colours do look washed out (maybe that's how they were?), compositionally it's not attractive and the crop either needs to be tighter or looser.
TBH I'm struggling to find where you've focussed on this one.

Sorry but, in my opinion, this is poor for you Ian.

Absolutely beautiful reflections, Ian, though I agree about the bleaching.

Thanks for the feedback Boyd. There was a lot of mist around that morning so perhaps that has effected the colours?

Compositionally I was trying for symmetry and also cutting out the sky (and its reflection) which was just white and impossible to manage.

The focus was on the taller (and greener) trees. I hadn't thought that it was oversharpened, though I was trying out the new action for which Jeanie was the guinea-pig.

You can't win them all and maybe my view of this shot is influenced by being there. :0)
