Knew it was yours when I saw it in the gallery. You've done very well to capture all the subtle tones in the snow. Great shot.

Mono certainly adds to the feel of the place, feels */*!/ freezing. WinkSmile

That's so much better than the colour version, establishes the mood much more strongly. You should just try it with a bit more contrast (and maybe a fraction down on the brightness so the highs don't blow), and see what you think. That's just personal preference though. The sky is great, and you could turn the drama up even more.
'Guid,' if I may use your rather amusing Scottish patois.

Excellent capture !
Good work Rod, love the strong diag' against curves of hills. I can feel the cold, can't see much future for the brass monkey population! Si

Lovely tones and a great view!
Great tonal range, and a really 'film' look to the handling of the high contrast.........I really love the snow leading into the image, and the detail captured and held in the sky and rocks. A great docu - travel image, and very well thought out. A + !! Tongue
