Loch Katrine

By Nettles
On a recent trip to Scotland we visited a good few lochs, plus a few distilleries, well you have to don't you.

This one is Loch Katrine and was quite beautiful. It was nice that there was a proper path/road to walk around and be able to see different angles.
We meant to go back and have a trip on one of the boats but never managed it, next time hopefully.

Thank you for your C & C's on my Hare pic, plus thanks for the laughs with the puns you came up with. All were very much appreciated, thanks.

The more I see images of Scotland the more I feel I have to visit, this is a lonely landscape. - gary

Lovely viewpoint and f/g colours in particular, plus the tree on the right that makes the composition for me - reminiscent of Turner in one of his rare quieter moments.

I'm fascinated by the processing - a hint of Orton? Lovely composition - but do you have any brewery uploads?? I remember seeing lovely lines and reflections in vats, and not having a camera with me...

Hi Moira,
No Orton, just a bit of fiddling with clarity, curves and contrast.
Over the winter I've been experimenting with the clarity and I did the same for my woodland scene, just dropped it down a few notches.
No brewery uploads this time, too busy tasting the whisky - hic.
great shot, excellent framing and DOF control, well done!

Beautifully composed shot. Like the porcessing very much. This is the loch from which the city of Glasgow obtains its famously delicious water supply!

There's nothing like a good meander especially when you get stuff like this.
