Loch Leven

By viscostatic
Taken from the slopes of Gleann a' Chaolais during a failed attempt to reach the top of Sgorr Dhonuill near Ballachulish. The last time I climbed it was 1976. My son got to the top this time but I ran out of energy and started to descend before he caught up with me again. Never mind, the hill will still be there another day.

Than you to all who viewed, voted and commented on 'Sweet Pea' with special thanks to Jenn for her award.

Glorious! A revisit is long overdue though I wonder about my ability to scale such heights nowadays! 🥴 I'm sure I recognise the bridge down in the valley. Wonderfully evocative of fresh air, wide open spaces and a welcome escape from crowds! 🥴 🥴 Misanthropic? Moi? Yep! 🤣
Please accept this gong burnished by the winds that howl across Rannoch Moor! 🏆

Maybe you didn't get to the top, but you didn't do too badly by the look of it. Plus you had a good day out and a pretty decent photo to show for it.

Beautiful landscape. It's unlikely that I'll ever visit Scotland, but the hills and mountains here in Portugal can be equally impressive, my exploration is just starting, but like you I may always hav the energy to reach the summits!
