Loch Shin Fog...

By Scottishlandscapes
...so we arrive at the end of An Amazing Journey with my friend Kin, what fun and laughter we shared in our few days together, we left firm friends and looking forward to the next time we could travel Scotland together, watch out for the next adventure of "Kin & Dougie". I hope you enjoyed the journey with us.

This was on the way home, miles of freezing fog down the length of Loch Shin.

Yes, it has been a great journey. I bet it was enjoyable. In this one, it is like the land is floating in the air above the trees. A very unusual effect!

Oh well - go on with this series on my Runrig song from yesterday. So this is the Shin...
You've been taking me for a while now to places I have not yet been in Bonnie Scotland - the best part of it, and I am looking forward to get there during the next visit.
Thanks for this and for much more...

strangely beautiful image & quite a bit abstract from your normal offerings but nonetheless no less appealing in fact more! the light sort of plays tricks here & deceives at least me into thinking the foreground vegetation is a reflection. yes gets shortlisted.

It really was an amazing sight and stopped me in my tracks on the way home from the North. Glad you like it, Cheers Gerry.

Well all good things come to an end Dougie and these images we have seen are no exception. Not only have we seen these wonderful images but we have very accurate descriptions and geographical whereabouts of these places. I fail to see how any one could not have been attracted to this grand tour. You do more for scotland than any tourist board.
Thanks for sharing

All the best

A very different note to end on, Dougie. There is your usual superb composition, precision of detail and strong visual impact; yet for all the content, this has the minimalist simplicity of some of the finest Japanese brushwork. It is without exaggeration amazing.
Thank you (and to Kin too) for a riveting, impassioned and rewarding series.

I spent quite a long time looking at the thumbnail before moving on to full size and large. The effect is the same in all three - the headland appears to be floating in the mist. Extraordinary and very beautiful. hope you have another project planned...

Cheers Moira, hope to soon as possible.

Tis' a beauty Dougie and a good one to end the series on. I thank you once again for your time shared, it was very fruitful and all went quite smoothly considering the time of year.

Till the next time,

Kin.

Don't think I've ever seen one quite like this, where the horizon line is almost lost. Fantastically ethereal feel to it. Would probably work well in mono too...
Cheers, Jon
I have a mono conversion of this Jon, but it seems to me it loses some of the depth.
