Lovely landscape shot. Nice composition, reflections and framing.
I wonder if increasing the saturation slightly would give the photo a little more impact showing those beautiful changes in the colours between the trees.

A fine composition that sets off those autumnal colours perfectly.

Good meeting up again and lovely to meet your other half too.

I haven't managed as far north as that this year, Mary, and your shot shows what I have been missing at this time of the year. The colours are beautiful, so well captured in this excellent composition.

Thanks everyone for your positive comments. I have uploaded another version, tried increasing the saturation but din't like it so darkened the mid tones and it seemed to work better. Crits very welcome.

Came back for another look, Mary!
I'm afraid I am going to against most others here and say I still prefer V me the colourings there are far more natural.

Lovely images, beautiful autumnal colours, like the way the leafy path leads to the tree. Definitely V1 for me.

Hi Mary
Back for a look at your mod.
The darker midtones work very well but may have over done the sat.
a tad.

Fantastic detail and perspective in this autumn landscape. My favourite is V1.

Hello Mary. A friend has just returned from a holiday near Loch Tummel, she said the Autumn colours were amazing there. Your images are beautiful. Hope you are all well.

Good reflection and colours Mary. V2 perhaps looks a little too red, but V1 has a very natural look to it.

Good to see you again and hope you found the 7D served you well on this trip.

Lovely tones and either version is good, but I know you like crit, so, ...

Taking a couple of steps forward and standing on something to get more hight while aiming the camera down would have helped , .. if possible. The reason I say this is, the reflection is superb but the rocks and reflection cut each other and you have lost the top of the trees to the beach. Either that or finding some different rocks would allow the different elements of the shot to complement rather than collide.

Right that's my tuppence worth. Still a lovely shot though.

See ya

Thanks Scotty , I see exactly what you mean.
Note to self , pack a fold upbox in bag as I am vertically challenged!

No , all joking aside you are quite right , I did wander back and forwards around this point trying to find the best spot to catch all the detail in the foreground , also didn't even consider pointing the camera down but will bear this in mind in a similar situation.

Thanks for the crit and to everyone for comments and crits as well.
Regards Mary
