Logs

In the Quarry Garden at Belsay Hall. I showed the colour image as a version a couple of weeks ago, it's growing on me. I guess we need some colour at the moment in the UK.
Roy, the authority on timber, finally decided on beech wood.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

At first glance, an abstract painterly feel. Well observed and photographed.

I liked it in the version and also as a stand alone.

The first suggestion was yew, but if you look at the bark it's wrong.
Thanks folks and good morning.

Did you count the rings to see how old it was, Moira? Maybe not! The dampness really shows up the texture of the wood.

This is definitely a stand out in color. A wood artisan over here would make something very beautiful from this.
