Its a simple record shot thats looks fine.

Can be a little brighter, with less saturation, - and, even thought it wasnt possible, it looks better moving the other way, as in the mod.

Nice to see an old red London Transport bus, Simon.
I am assuming the bus was moving, considering there is a driver in the cab, and this is probably why the wheels are out of focus.
What you have, Simon, is a simple record shot of the bus. What is nice about it is that there are no background distractions and no people milling around, although perhaps one or two people inside the bus, or boarding it would have been a bonus, I think. The background is also nicely diffused.
You shot it straight-on, but you have left some good space on the left for it to be driven into.
There may not have been time for you to take up a better position for photographing the bus, but a little angle on it would make it more special, and especially if it were to include the front of the bus, or part of it.
I have done a modification where I selected the rather grey sky and gave it some more blue. I straightened the image using the white line across the bus, then cropped the image, maintaining your aspect ratio. My second modification shows a bit of brightening, a touch more contrast, and a slight desaturation, and the window signs have miraculously disappeared.
Pamela.
