London snapshots: Brick Lane

By mrswoolybill
Not what it used to be, but it's still a good place.
Taken just a few weeks ago. How our lives have changed.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

They look like they're on a mission of some kind. A bit shifty if you ask me.

Red is obviously the colour of choice for most things in Brick Lane.

This is the effect that a low pov gives when used up close, it makes people seem intimidating.
Thanks folks.

Hi Somnath, I considered b&w but decided that Brick Lane needs colour. But I shall try.

Fascinating image and it's that broken tile that I find keeps drawing my eye. The power of metaphor.

Like the viewpoint in the lead image - and with that blue & white plaque we share a similar theme today! 😁👍

There is an unusual amount of color in your pictures at the moment😊

Both images are winners Moira,
I like the tile art in the lead shot as well...
Well seen... Isabel

hmmm... would be great if you can get the passers-by who exactly mimic the faces on the tile. But that would require a lot of patience, and maybe framing from a different angle, and the passers-by not being oof. Now the two sections feel disjointed. If it's just about the tiles, then the space and colors on the lhs are too overwhelming. More distracting than adding value.
I do like the wrong perspective on the tile. Since the person in the middle is overlapping with the face on the left... the person on the left must have a really huge head as he is furthest away Smile

A super street image with the plaque the focal point and remainder slightly out-of-focus I feel colour is the best option in this case.

I know what you mean. Unfortunately it would have required patience on Bill's part and he was getting cold...
It's an imperfect shot but it works for me because of the red / blue/ red / blue line-up. I think the guy in blue has a normal size head but oddly bouffant hair...
Thanks folks.
