It's helpul that you said they are viewing a screen that's out of shot, it just shows how framing a shot can make such a difference to how wr perceive what's going on. Mind you, with the Tate Modern it' so believable that the wall is the exhibit.

Thanks again folks, and thanks to Diane for the UA. This does work quite well in b&w, with a bit of twiddling with the colour channels. But colour definitely adds something, which it doesn't always...
