Lone Common Spotted Orchid

By teocali
The most widespread and common British orchid, the Common Spotted Orchid (Dactylorhiza fuchsii) has a preference for chalk and limestone grassland. Its leaves are always dark-spotted but the plant itself may be variable in height. Taken in Kent last June.

Many thanks for your great support of my Bee Orchid upload, with special thanks to Colleen (ColleenA) and Carole (CaroleS) - very much appreciated and valued Smile
