Lone surfer

By SisterPinkie
Taken this evening near Hayle, Cornwall. This is a 3 mile stretch of beach which runs from Godrevy back to Hayle and is absolutely beautiful. Tonight however the clouds arrived and shortly after this the rain set in. Despite appearances the beach still had plenty of people about barbecuing, playing and surfing. After all - we're British!! What's rain?

Love the open space, the inclusion of the lone figure adding a sense of scale and proportion.

Love the unusual colours for a beach scene and the wonderful capture of the sand patterns by the outgoing tide.
How much did you pay the surfer? Wink
