Lone Tree

By ABPhotosUK
Too wet to get out with the camera today so had a play around in PS with filters. This was taken last weekend during my visit to Buttermere. I've applied an Orton Effect to give a slightly dreamy feel, not to everyone's taste, your comments are welcome. (Version 2 is the original image with no filter applied)

The view of Fleetwith Pike and Haystacks from the shore of Buttermere with the lone tree on the shoreline.

Many thanks to all for the C&Cs on my previous upload of a Small Skipper and a special thank you to Trev_B for his valued UA.

A very beautiful and calming lakeside composition with great light and depth.

Nice composition with the tree and I like the dreamy effect. Smile
A lovely image, I love the lone tree in the foreground and the processing works well. Smile

A very attractive composition from Buttermere, and whilst I quite like the processing in V 1, my preference sits with the original at V 2.
I have seen images by others using the Orton effect and where I really liked it was with autumn scenes in the woods.
