Longhorn

By bunbeam
I was holding the leaf down and this longhorn beetle decided to crawl onto my thumb.. I must say it wasnt pleasant and I held my breath hoping it doesnt bite, but had to brave it to get a few one handed macro shots.. I shook it off my thumb and it landed on a bramble flower much to the other beetle`s surprise..
thanks for all the wonderful C&Cs on yesterdays mystery caterpillar..
And a big thanks for helping me ID it.. It has to be the mullein moth becauase it was on a huge unknown plant which turns out to be a mullein.. so I had 2 mysteries resolved yesterday.. thanks xxxxxx

V1 is so sharp, ID is easy, and Alan is right, strangalia maculata. The colours, texture and light are perfect, Bun. In V4, there is another longhorn, strangalia melanura, the reddish one. All are excellent.
