Look at me ladies

Smew (Mergus albellus)
The Smew is a small compact diving duck with a delicate bill. The male is white with a black mask and a black back.
It is a winter visitor in small numbers from Scandinavia and Russia.
Little is known about this bird on its breeding grounds.
This one was photographed at WWT Washington in May 2018 and is in its striking breeding plumage ,
Thanks for you awards (pm sent), and the many V's & C's on my Puffin, always very much appreciated Dave
