Look Over There

By TornadoTys
Here is yet another photo of my day at a local Point to Point Horse Racing which was held on the same day as the Grand National.
It is a great venue with crowd dressing for the part with tweed jackets and hunter boots ! lol
The venue is also good for the crowd as the horse are apx 10 meters from the spectators fence.

The light was very dull and over cast ( plus it was bitterly cols wind ) which caused dark brown horses to blended into the back ground and colours are also very dull on the day. I had a very difficult time trying to use a low ISO to keep the colours, low noise and retain detail.

So I have done a little bit of post edit on the back ground to enable the horse and rider to pop more in the image. As the weather was so dull.
All editing has been done in Lightroom

Comments & Critique most welcome so I can improved my technique

The horses and riders stand out very well, maybe just a tad too well.
Post processing is usually better if it is not too apparent. A well taken shot.Smile

I agree, and the balance for the Point to Point photos has been a little tricky because the light was so poor on the day, and the more I pulled back on the post processing the more the horses blended in to the back ground. So I went just a little over on the processing to ensure the riders and horse pooped !

Many thanks for taking the time to look at my photos Smile
