Well, from all the comments on my previous upload, seems I should have lead with the camels, they were very popular! 🐪
Especially for Dave (Jasper87) who wanted a pic of me riding a camel, here it is. As you can see though from the background it isn't in Marrakech – I didn't take a ride on one there, see here's the next best thing.
This was taken 3 years later in April 2009 on my holiday to Cairo. I'd booked a trip out to Giza to include a camel ride. Not the most comfortable creatures to ride about on, and this was after about a good hour riding around the desert and actually arriving at the Pyramids. Did get off for a quickie walk around the Pyramid of Khafre, but not here at the Great Pyramid or Sphinx. With hindsight, I’d have given the camel ride a miss, gone out to the Pyramids and done my own thing – it’s only about a 400 metres walk into the desert from the built-up area to the Great Pyramid & the Sphinx, and it was only about 32°C, so not too hot for walking!
Not exactly a selfie, the shot was taken by my guide - hope this gives a bit of a laugh for Silly Sunday!😁
