Looking East

By Richardtyrrelllandscapes
I was in Aberdeen for 3 days doing acourse for work, so I thought I should take advantage of the scenery around th ebeach area to pass the time.

In the distance you can see the supply ships that transport supplies to the oil platforms in the north sea.
These ships are waiting out at sea until they can get into the harbour to load and unload there cargo.

I hope you enjoy viewing the image.

Richie.

Great shot Richie - but where is all the snow we enjoyed?

Take care out in the hills.

Hi Richie. Good potential in this photo, with the eye being led into the scene by the breakwater.

But perhaps it needs a little work to get the best out of it. In the mod I've uploaded for you I have increased contrast with an adjustment to curves. I've also cropped from the top and sharpened slightly.

However.... what I've also done is "timeshifted" so to speak! Wink By the time you took the photo the two ships in the middle of it, on the horizon, had moved away from the point to which the breakwater is pointing. I've used the patch tool to put them back where they would have been a while earlier and the breakwater now points at them! Hope you find the result of use/interesting. Smile

I do find it a very interesting upload, and thanks very much for uploading and highlighting this.

Richie.
