Looking to Aldermans Hill from Saddleworth Moor

By jamesgrant
My first time up Saddleworth, it's a lovely area and in my opinion very dramatic and perhaps a little underrated?
I had planned to shoot the Trinnacle but the sun wasn't in the right place for sunset, so it was actually quite nice to have a walk around and make a shot not out of a pre-conceived vision. I ended up at Ashway Rocks which overlooks Dovestones and Yeoman Hay Reservoirs.
The views were dramatic and on higher ground there was a tiny dusting of snow, which contrasted nice warm colours down below. This shot was taken facing Aldermans Hill as a ray of light breaks across it.
I think I'll be heading back again sometime soon.
