Loop of the day

I had a quick run out between the storms to Avon Beach this afternoon and caught the Windsurfers at play, some way out as there was a wind shadow and flat water close in.

The light was dire and to get the shutter speed I needed it was back up to ISO1600 again but I caught this sequence of the entire loop and recovery, possibly the best executed I have ever seen.

this is during the inverted phase but the rest of the sequence is in the Versions

I didn't think it was possible to do a loop if the sail hit the water. Great captures!

thanks guys, as shown here, I think the trick is for the sail to hit a moving wave crest rather than the trough as the drag will be less.

However - the proof is here as this lad completed it and recovered with style Grin
