Thanks John, well Ireland is beautiful, and unfortunately very few English people make the journey over. Part of the problem, without getting too political, is the problems Belfast has experienced since the 60's and it's now well known in England that Southern Ireland is expensive. In Dublin a pint is around £5.00, in England it's less than £3.00 in most places. Eating out is also expensive. It's far cheaper to go abroad, around the Med for a week, than spend just a weekend in Ireland. It's a real shame as people are missing out on some stunning scenery, historic castles and rugged coastline especially on the West and South Coast. And as for the hospitality of the Irish and the Craic, second to none of course!
