Love in a mist

By seharris77
This is a photomicrograph of a flower head from the Nigella plant (also known as "Love in a mist"). It's so magnified that you can see the stamen and stigma in close up. It as illuminated using the dark-field technique, which allows you to photograph the flower (or whatever object) against a black background.
It has not been digitally altered.

I love the light emitting from behind the petals. It is just right. Very underrated photo. Well done.
