Love in times of plague, concluded

Back on the barbie. I had this idea in my mind for quite a while, it was the most difficult of the stories that I wanted to tell on the barbecue, using my litter-picking finds. I was getting quite ambitious for what I wanted the gloves to do, unfortunately they did not always share my ambitions. In the end, floristry wire was involved...
I was thinking of friends separated from loved ones for months on end, then suddenly they could meet for a picnic, so long as they sat two metres apart. A strange experience.
I made several attempts at this narrative, so you have two different angles. The version took more work, I think I prefer the main upload though.
This is the last of my lockdown images, it's time to move on...

Moving on is worth a conscious effort, I think. Otherwise, lethargy is too much of a risk for so many of us.

The lead works better as the company logo and other information on the back of the right glove is too prominent in the version, and spoils the illusion, I feel. Perhaps it would be worth using a few minutes with the patch tool or clone tool, especially as this took some time to get arranged for the camera?

This has been a fascinating and imaginative series, Moira. So your lovers finally meet again, but question remains - do they have a final happier reunion ahead?
I prefer the lead,, the "hands" seem more expressive.

I prefer the lead... the "hands" are more convincingly alive, whereas in the version they're inanimate and look more like just gloves.
A lyrical ending to a lyrical series.

The lead for sure....the lady looks unsure as whether to take the flower and the man looks persuasive...what the heck am I saying.....lady and man?...they are gloves!

A great idea, Moira, fits well with the current situation. As Diane says, it's like the 'male' is trying to pass the flower to the 'female' and she's unsure - especially in the lead! Think both work well, but the lead wins it I think 😃👍

Including the logo, I feel, lets down the overall effect. Still, very acceptable for your theme. I wonder if you could also use it in the present black and white race issues?

The lead is definitely the better. It shows life as well as poignancy. Tells the tale quite beautifully.

The lead has me feeling like it's a proposal and she's a little hesitant with the bent middle finger. The version tells me she said YES! Maybe because the clarity and the touch. Both wonderful Moira.
