I liked the contrast between the straight lines and neatness of the brickwork and grill, and the curves and tattiness of the bikes.

Agree totally with the comments on lines and shapes, contrast and counterpoints. I can't help thinking in monochrome (and of monochrome) when that occurs.

It's one has the 'Aaaaaaaaah' factor in spades. The big bike is protecting the little one - so evocative.

They're wheely locked together and won't tyre of their embrace, so it will be hard to brake them apart without them becoming cranky, and the lady looks happy, so you wouldn't want to offender.
I hope you spoke to them severely about their public demonstration, steering them in the direction of control and suspension, telling them to get a grip, or forking out for a room.
You were geared up, and got them in your frame, producing a light-hearted image which will produce a chain of comments.
