Kath - that's why we wanted it removed - after we had been told it was only a half-grown Eucalyptus by an Australian visitor.

I've enjoyed this series. Always sad to see a tree come down but if it is causing problems, there's no choices. Thank you for the award and comment.

a bit overzealous with the pollarding !!
PCarman - pollarding! - no way - just bought the young sapling at a Church Bazaar (a local tree nursery had donated trees to the church) - planted it and just let it grow.

If you had viewed the first picture in the set, 'The Final Branch', and noticed the length of that branch - then you would have known that it has never been trimmed. Trimming!! - enough to do with the hedges that we have on the property.

All young trees need to carry a warning as to their eventual size. An interesting series.Smile
