Loyal Arthurian Order Of Druids : Winter Solstice, Stonehenge 2012.

By UrbaneMagick
Firstly, Happy Christmas, & all the very best for the New Year to everyone.
Huge thankyuo to everyone stopping by to look at my photos over the past twelve months & an even bigger thankyou for taking time to upload your own work over the period..tis a lovely site , that is also educational Smile

This is my personal favourite of the series, if only for the presence of Ghyll Lionheart on the left handside.

Anyway : This is the white robed & red dressed lady are all part of the "Warband", the political division of the Druidic Order of the British Isles.
In fact, these are some of the highest ranking members of the order, amongst them is Kazz, High -Priestess & partner of King Arthur (also in picture). King Arthur is "THE" Political leader & also Arch Druid.
There is an autobiography out on King Arthur, which is a terrific read.
King Arthur stands at Stonehenge eight hours a day , seven days a week, gathering signatures to petition for the return of the bones of the ancestors that were buried in the mounds & within Stonehenge.
.....att present, they have served their purpose at universities & now lay in vaults.
King Arthur is also the reason that on Solstices, you are able to have full & free access to the stones, as he took English Heritage to the court of Human Rights & won via the freedom of Religous Expression act.
Several more to come from the series, I hope you enjoy them.

Hey Leon,
I have a friend in the "warband", and she said to me in the morning that they followed ginger Chris around, as people got out of the way for him.
..they then said..look here he is now... I Had imagined a great big bloke..but nope...twas the guy in the middle Smile

Cummon, here you got it Smile
enjoy. Guess I've become a sun worshipping pagan myself. I said it many years ago to defy my father and often I think there is truth in it.

I love the feeling from this image Gareth - its 'real' - Love the write up too that because of King Arthur's action, people are allowed full and free access to the stones on each solstice - people who go to view the stones, do so with respect and feel the energy there.
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and that the New Year to come is wonderful

Hi Ava,

Ava..firstl..whoop...thankyou so much ofr the award..this is my favourite of the series & I feel a little vindicated now Smile

Arthur has done a ton of good for the Druids & alternative culture of the UK..he was also instrumental in getting the Mayans access to their temple for the solstice as they also were banned!!

Hope you had a great time also..and thankyou's to a great 2013.

Gareth Smile
