Lubreoch...

By Scottishlandscapes
...it looked like there was thunder brewing in the clouds and rain occasionally spattered the windscreen as I explored the top of the Glen. A beam of sunlight wandered across the meadow and the River Lyon lifting my spirits and thoughts. I think this might be the Glen of tranquility.

A threatening sky, but a sky with character. Ours is matte grey - again - -
Love your composition, and the tiny swirl of water in the f/g.

Looks like one of those days when the heavens might open, or alternatively within minutes the sun and blue skies return although it might be safer to bet on the former.
Fine composition from the broader part of the Glen, and so atmospheric with that cloud cover and dappled light.

That looks like our forecast for the w/e - thundery showers & very occasional blink of sunshine....
It's a beautiful glen, even in these conditions. Great atmosphere here, like the distant road & wee blink of sunlight.

Looks like the weather we had down in Glen Coe for the last couple of days. Half expected to bump into you when we were at the River Ba on Wednesday Smile

I like the idea of having my spirits and thoughts brightened by a little sun Dougie, its been blowing a gale here all day and flower photos I was trying for, became difficult - love the lead in from the water to the mountains behind, the greenery on either side and that sky is very dramaticSmile

Oh homesickness!
Sorry for having been away so long, my brother is in hospital again and not doing well at all. Keeps us all busy with other things than the normal ones.
This image is such a beauty and contains everything I am longing for.
Wide glen, water, sheep, distant hills, dramatic sky, light... thanks for all this!
Johanna
