Took this shot on a relatively hot day, some sun cream was put on her head and it created this funky hair doo!!!..........so had to take some shots. Any critique is welcomed

First and foremost, I think this is a lovely shot. The punk hair-do, the wonderful expression and the apple-that-isn't-an-apple are all fantastic. You've used depth of field well and everything that ought to be sharp, is.

A couple of suggestions for improvement. The skin tone looks rather drab and grey, to me, but I'm afraid I can't offer any advice on what might have caused that or how to fix it. As far as composition goes, I'd prefer to see more space to the left for her to look into, and a little less space behind her. Taking things to extremes, you could probably even afford to crop off a bit of the back of her head; I don't think that would be necessary but I do think you have quite a lot of latitude for making space on the left.

So, some small things to improve but the shot as it stands is a cracker.

a stunning shot, very smart and subtle; i agree with all of the above and as for the skin tones, maybe your camera was set to a low saturation level... or maybe it was a deliberately-applied effect. I don't mind the original color, i think it adds to the message, but just for the record, i uploaded a mod where i enhanced a little the saturation and adjusted a bit the rgb.I also cropped it a little, to give an idea on how the "place for the eyes to look into" usually looks like. I'm sorry i didn't have the time to clone a bit of the background and add it to the left to give you a more precise hint... personally, i would also add a very tiny bit of more space on top of her head, for the punk-hairdo to have more space for "exhibition".
A great shot however!
