Lucy Studio Shoot

By joshwa
Studio shoot (2 softboxes), Sony Alpha A7S, 55mm Zeiss Lens

Edited in Photoshop to try and give it a slight glow to the skin, split toning / cross process look, grain added, although I'm not sure how visible this will be on here.

See variants for the original if you want to have a go, modifications welcome, thanks.

I'm sure V1 would be ideal for an advertising campaign - it attracted me to open the thumbnail, after all - but I much prefer the natural look of V2. But I'm old enough to be a genuine fogey Blush

I really like the shot. V2 more for me as Bill says, - though V1 certainly has a place for something high impact.

Loaded 3 mods which for me try to get more natural, though not knowing the lady, its a guess!

I wounder, in the V2 which has you camera raw adjustments attached, - the original is very yellow when I reset your tweaks to zero; did you use a gold reflector or light source?

Lovely pose and shot either way.

The original is a lovely image. V1 is too yellow/orange for me. I think because the top has come to almost match the hair in colour. Something half way would be good - I was going to try a mod, but looking at mods 4 and 5 they look about what I was envisaging.

The natural tones appeal to me more, J.

The colour of V1 makes it hard to love - especially as I've scanned some old slides that turned out that was earlier this week...

V2 makes more of Lucy's lovely eyes.

The red toning makes it stand out in the thumbnails but as others have said V2 is the more pleasing image.
Good to play and try things but not sure the choice of red here works

Richard
