Dramatic and without the colour there's mystery and suspense with the liquid glowing in bottles, the wicked apothecary's laboratory perhaps? I like it.

I keep coming back to this. There's something about this that is so strong, so uncompromising, so unwilling to give up, whatever happens.

We'll need all the grit and determination we have over the next few months. So this is a good image to see the old year out, and the new one in.
