Luminous puffs

By KingArthur
Was experimenting with tones in mono, atmospheric conditions looked good as I played about with a few compositions.

I included the ridge in the lower part to render some scale to the image. This one in particular struck me as the best of the lot, nothing special but good enough to merit a post. Let me know what you think about the shot, all comments and feedback welcome.

The larger image should give you a better idea, thanks.

Joe

Oppressive and heavy-- , this has a stormy feel -- Excellent b&w tones , also shapes and textures!

A good rendition of the cloud formation And the silhouette at the bottom gives the picture a bit of 'body'.

B+W gives it a real stormy look, like the silhouette. Well done. Pam

This is most interesting, having being rendered to mono. The crop and lighting are super and as Pam mentioned, it has a real stormy look.

A lovely moody image and it works well in B&W. Would love to see the colour version too.
