Lunch 9 is my version of Silly Sunday...
First, my thanks to all who commented and voted on yesterday's Lunch, with a special Thank You to Steve (sparrowhawk) for your coveted User Award - for you, Steve, I have a Special Lunch, tomorrow!
Guessed what Lunch 9 is yet? Two Dung Beetles, in a 'push me, pull you' situation! You have to keep your eyes peeled to see them and these two live in the Masai Mara.
There are primarily three types of Dung Beetle and all are good citizens, cleaning up after other animals... 1. Rollers: they roll up the dung into balls and feed from it or use it as a brooding chamber. 2. Tunnelers: they bury the dung by digging beneath it then covering it over. 3. Dwellers: they just like to live in the stuff.
All interesting stuff, which you can impart to the mother-in-law, when she comes for Lunch today...
