Lunching Little Grebe

By Glostopcat
A little grebe snacking on a stickleback, this image was captured yesterday lunchtime from the Kingfisher Hide at Slimbridge. I'm sure this one will appeal to a certain epzer who hails from North of the border who is in the midst of uploading the longest series in the history of epz!

Well timed capture, excellent detail as well, good enough to see it's a three spined stickleback for lunch. Smile

I think that must be Simon to whom you are referring, Ed: and, yes, he will appreciate this one of the rather wet grebe snacking away.
Lovely crisp shot.

You are correct about the longest series in the history of EPZ Ed.
Must be that many lunches to keep a classroom of Billy Bunters for about a year !!
Like its ''rusty'' neck here.
(Come to think of it.I beat Simon with my ''series'' of rust shots !!)

It's a wonderful image, Ed; what's not to like about this soggy little fellow, snacking on a stickleback.
I am just slightly concerned about you sliding off work, in the middle of the day and spending the afternoon down at Slimbridge !!!
Great stuff, Ed, keep it up, old chap.

Simon
PS: I wouldn't come anywhere near "Rust 365"...!
