good contrast and the wind swept grasses give this a great feel for movement

Just had a look at the portrait version and this beats it easily for me, has more of a feeling of vast wide open space.
I like the way you've composed so the grasses converge onto a disappearing point on the left of frame, the limited colour pallet works well too

An exciting and amazing shot. I especially love the moody sky and the shadows on the sand. Well done.

Dramatic sky, dark mountains contrast with expanse of sand. Windblown grasses great f/g. This format for me. Ex.shot.

Well evocative of the nature of the windswept and dark mood that comes as part of the territory of the wilderness of the 'Outer Hebs.'
finely timed to catch the light in the FG and enhance the mood.

I think I prefer the portrait version (which I did click on a few days ago), as there is more emphasis on that wonderful grass, which really makes the image so strong. Two excellent pictures though and I am sure they would both make great prints.

This one for me , it has better compositional aspects and I like the way you have portrayed the open and windswept feeling of the location,

Like the portrait version but like this one more!
The sense of isolation is immense.
