Beautiful photo! Clearly, this is a a North Atlantic sailboat, with the double fin keels.....keep the boat from toppling on its side at low tide. We do not use boats like that here.....but maybe they might up,by the Bay of Fundy, wher tides can be 25-50 feet.

We do about 6 metres at Shoebury as it's a fairly shallow beach. The tide goes out about 1.5 miles or so into the Thames Estuary...
