This aircraft was originally registered V9552 when delivered to the RAF before shipping out to the RCAF in 1942 soon afterwards, where it was used as a target tug.
After various changes of ownership/appearance, in 1999 it was painted black and various additions made to resemble a Lysander III S.D (Special Duties) aircraft as flown by 161 Squadron , RAF on clandestine night ops inserting and retrieving agents in occupied Europe from RAF Tempsford and RAF Tangmere between 1942-45.
Currently owned and flown by the Shuttleworth Collection from Old Warden, Bedfordshire.
