Nice shot Daryl, well captured. I did take the liberty of a slight mod to your shot. All I did was lighten it slightly using curves. On reflection I should have added a bit more contrast.
Hope this helps you in someway.
Graham.

Daryl, Have uploaded a mod which I hope helps. I did change the horizon but not sure if your original image just showed the curvature of a hill. I also burnt in the sky a bit to enhance the beatiful light and cropped to emphasise the stones. Hope you like it but a great shot anyway.

Difficult due to difference in lighting. I go rather towards mod 2 as the cropping suites, the sky is darker and the foreground lighter.

I've tweaked it in CS5 using shadows/highlights and added contrast to the foreground.
I treated the sky in a separate layer, increased overall tone and saturation and pushed the reds in curves.
Then I put it all back together only to find when I uploaded it, I'd missed a bit of sky, right on the horizon!
The horizon, which I tried to straighten, using Picasa. I reckon their straightening tool is by far the easiest and therefore best one available.
I think though that it's curved and we'll just have to make the best of it!

Jester.
