Magpie Aggression

By brian1208
Sat in the hide at the Hawk Conservancy with not much to watch in the way of Heron or Kites I watched a group of Magpie becoming very aggressive fighting over the food that had been put out.

This shot is one of a series of three which showed that sometimes a sneak attack can go wrong, the dive-bombing Magpie totally mistimed it, missed the one on the ground and crashes in a heap, then gets up really mad

I've put the rest of the sequence + a few more from the action up for your entertainment, although they aren't the greatest quality as it was still quite foggy (which may be why there were no Heron or Kite?)

No Magpies were hurt during the filming of this sequence Grin

(I shot these with a mix of EM-1 + 75-300 and EM-5 + 40-150)
