Magpie Mine

First , thanks to Alan (and Albert) for the User Award yesterday, also to everyone who has put up with and in some instances actively encouraged the last fortnight's silliness Smile All gratefully received and hugely appreciated.

Now the silliness is over I'm rounding off the year and starting the new one with a miscellany of my favourites from 2019 that have not yet appeared before, though one or two may ring bells. Today's comes from our visit last Spring in the company of Mr and Mrs Saltireblue. That holiday week seems such a long time ago; but being optimistic for a change, the next such holiday is now much closer.

A fabulous composition, Bill full of interest and wonderful sky for a backdrop.
Must be room for a duck in there somewhere...

An industrial site now gone to dereliction. It does make for a very a bleak landscape well captured.

I remember this well. I do like the way someone has taken the trouble to line all the buildings up in one line, just perfect for panorama or letterbox photography formats.

There's plenty there already, being close to Derbyshire everyone's greeted as 'duck' Smile

So this photo just goes to show the "importance" of the rule of thirds....or is the impotence?

This is a beautiful landscape, so minimal....and then that great sky!!!
