Malham Cove

By Drighlynne
A walk up to Malham Cove on Wednesday, we couldn't have wished for better weather, warm and sunny, anoraks in the rucksack and drinks aboard. It has been years since we last went to it. We were treated to this view when we got there. One of the ladies at WI last night told me it had been the BBC weather picture, she recognised my tag, and I missed seeing it.

Malham Cove is a limestone formation 0.6 miles (1 km) north of the village of Malham, North Yorkshire, England. The large, curved feature was formed by a waterfall carrying meltwater from glaciers at the end of the last Ice Age more than 12,000 years ago.

Many years since I was last at Maham Cove. Looking back at my images - some of my earliest digitals - it was in June 2003 on a Camera Club outing! Smile Lovely capture here, Lynne Smile
