On this occasion it was the sun that was burning and not the heather. The Western Highlands of Scotland have been experiencing very dry conditions for some time now [as at Easter 2013] leading to controlled burning by crofters rapidly spiralling out of control. Here the only burning was the setting sun dipping behind the edges of the Skye coastline as shot from Mallaig.
