Malmesbury Abbey

By strawman
As ever thoughts, critique or comments welcomed.

Taken this evening just after sunset. This is a photo it has taken me a couple of goes to get. Its a 5 second exposure at F10 ISO 100 and I used a 2 stop grad.

I have been in the evenings before, its just a case of getting the conditions and weather and light to balance. It was taken as the light in the sky started to drop and the floodlighting started to become more dominant.

I wanted colour and movement in the clouds but I also did not want to blur it too much.

Did it work?

I think that you have achieved your aim, a great looking sky radiating out from the Abbey, lovely mood created here with the lighting.

This is gorgeous I love the Abbey - we used to live in Minety (if you area local you will know it) but live in north Essex now - Malmesbury is such a beautiful little town and the abbey is really interesting

Fantastic shot

lovely shot this. Gorgeous colours in the sky and looks to be good detail in the Abbey too.

Surprised this hasn't got more clicks. You're obviously not promiscuous enough Smile

I think it's worked very well, looks like you got it at just the right time of day.
